Issue 5F will appear on this year’s ballot.  The Board of Education for Weld County School District is pleased to announce that it has unanimously approved a proposal to place a $2.8 million Mill Levy Override on the November 5, 2024 ballot. The Mill Levy Override aims to secure additional funding to support students and staff across our schools.

The proposed Mill Levy Override targets funding for staff recruitment and retention, increase safety, security, and mental health options for students, create advanced career pathways and enrichments for students, and enhance transportation support around the district.

Board of Education President Cindy Baumgartner said, “We are excited at the prospect of expanding on our student successes through this funding measure. Our graduation rate is higher than it has been in decades; our students earned nearly 2,000 college credits last year, and more and more are participating in work-based learning experiences. The proposal prioritizes funds to recruit and retain the best and the brightest educators into our schools to help our students achieve even more.”
